Enrolment Information

Enrolment Process

Elanora Heights Community Preschool gives priority of access to enrolment in accordance with NSW Department of Education funding guidelines (as amended from time to time) and our Enrolment Policy.

  • To place your child’s name on the waiting list you need to complete the ‘Wait List Application Form’ and submit it to the Preschool. Payment of $25 wait list fee (non-refundable) will also be required. Once this is received by the Preschool your child’s name will be added to our waiting list.
  • Once your child’s name has been entered on the waiting list it is your responsibility to ensure the Director is advised of any change of address, telephone number or temporary absence to avoid missing out on an offer of enrolment.
  • If you wish to remove your child’s name from the waiting list, please inform the Preschool.
  • Being on the Preschool Waiting List does not guarantee enrolment at the Preschool.
  • Siblings of children attending the Preschool are not automatically placed onto our waiting list and are not automatically guaranteed enrolment at the Preschool, or priority of access. It is up to parents to ensure a waiting list form is completed and returned to Preschool.
  • The Preschool has a ‘Waiting List Policy’ that is strictly adhered to. We also abide by the priorities of access in accordance with the Department of Education guidelines.
  • Offers of enrolment are generally made in term three each year for commencement at Preschool at the beginning of the following year. If vacancies occur throughout the year positions are offered to the next eligible child on our waiting list. Preschool positions are allocated in strict accordance with the ‘Waiting List Policy’ & ‘Priority of Access’ guidelines.
  • We must be made aware of any additional needs your child has as early as possible, so we can apply for funding as required to ensure we can support their participation within the preschool and the educational program.

Join Our Waitlist

We are fully booked for 2023

Enrolment enquiries are very welcome. You can contact the preschool via phone or email or make an appointment to come in during our preschool office hours of 9am to 3pm. Families are advised to register their child on the waiting list at birth. Positions for 3 to 5 year olds are offered in priority of access and waitlist order. A confidential waiting list is maintained at the preschool. The bulk of our enrolments are completed in Terms Three and Four for children to commence the following year. Other places may be offered throughout the year if vacancies arise.
If you are considering enrolling your child for the first time, we recommend you contact us to organise a tour well in advance of the year you would like them to commence.

Please Note: Registering your child’s name on the waiting list does not guarantee enrolment at the preschool. We do our best to cater for the needs of our families, but first preference of days or educators cannot be guaranteed. Siblings are not automatically added to the waiting list, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure a waiting list form has been completed. It is also important for families to make sure their details are kept up-to-date, including phone number, address or email address.

Elanora Heights Community Preschool embraces and values diversity and are committed to celebrating diverse communities.

We welcome the inclusion of all children and families whatever their individual needs may be. We have a wide range of resources available and an inclusion support teacher is generally available to provide additional support, however, availability is always subject to funding.

Elanora Heights Community Preschool became a member of the Welcome Here Project in 2022. The Welcome Here Project supports businesses/organisations throughout Australia to create and promote environments that are visibly welcoming and inclusive of Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) communities.

Everyone is welcome here.
