Our natural outdoor playground includes climbing nets, swings, a double slippery dip, a bike path, cubby house, sandpit, an undercover pergola and more. We have an abundance of outdoor learning resources and equipment, including trucks, prams, wheelbarrows, wooden blocks, water play troughs, bikes, barrels, garden beds, a dry creek bed, plants and trees and two compost bins to support children’s learning about sustainability and environmental education.
At the heart of our playground is a beautiful deciduous Liquid Ambar tree. Not only does this provide valuable shade for the children during the summer months, it also provides a sense of wonder as the children observe its many changes throughout the seasons; collecting and using its leaves, seed pods (‘spiky balls’) and sticks throughout the year for art and craft experiences and to enhance their imaginative play. During winter the children love to rake the fallen leaves into the wheelbarrows.
Our playground playground adjoins Allington Reserve and the preschool building is safely set back from Kalang road.
We also have a wheelchair accessible ramp and toilet.
