Our Team
Our Preschool is fortunate to have highly qualified, long-serving and experienced staff, who work extremely hard to ensure that each child experiences a positive, meaningful and educational environment that optimises their learning and development. The educational programs are developed by highly experienced University qualified Teachers and Diploma trained Educators, which are implemented with the support of experienced Certificate III Assistant Educators.
Our team takes a collaborative approach to program and planning development guided by our Educational Leader, Janelle. Our educational programs are developed around the principles and practices set out in the Early Years Learning Framework, with each of our teaching team bringing their own unique talents and interests to the program.
All of our educators participate in fortnightly staff meetings and regular professional development and training to reflect on their own values, views and understandings of early childhood theory, research and practice in Early Childhood Education. All educators have completed the following:
- First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training
- Child Protection Training
- NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- All Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) are accredited at Proficient Teacher Level, and maintain that accreditation, with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Heidi is a university qualified teacher, who has been working at Elanora Heights Community Preschool since 2010. Heidi is responsible for the day to day management of the preschool and is dedicated to providing a nurturing, caring and welcoming community where children, families and educators learn, discover and grow together each day.

Janelle is a university qualified teacher, who leads the team in implementing an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children aged 3 to 5 years and is responsible for ensuring children achieve the outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
